The seminar will be given by Assist. Prof. Danny Hayes on the 5th of October 2012 at the FEAS Building in the room F109 at 14:00 pm. 

"This talk begins with an overview of the U.S. presidential election system, including a discussion of the primary campaigns, the party conventions, and the Electoral College. Against that backdrop, what are the factors that are likely to determine the outcome of the Nov. 6 election between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney? The role of the economy, domestic politics, foreign affairs, and the media will be discussed, with particular attention to data from recent American public opinion surveys."
